Lesson 3 of 6

Onto The Hotseat

Continue to Lesson 4

Pick any member from the group, and invite them onto the hotseat with one question:

"If there's one thing the group could help you with today, what would it be?"

It gets straight to a challenge, decision or opportunity. From there, walk the member through the same four questions, in order. This is what turns a vague problem into something the rest of the group can actually work with.

01

What's the situation in one sentence?

02

What have you already tried?

03

What's the real decision?

04

What's at stake?

You're not solving it for them. You're helping them clarify so that the eight minutes of feedback that follow are aimed at something specific. Not three tangled problems or one so general the rest of the room can't do anything with it.
